The aim is to develop a jointly constructed and shared strategy for the archipelago's resilience to erosion and climate change, promoting nature-based solutions. The aim is to provide the archipelago and its stakeholders with an overall vision and common guidelines for the future of its coastline, to capitalize on knowledge and to pool efforts to manage coastal retreat.
Missions
& Services
The study includes an assessment of coastal hazards and the archipelago's vulnerability to climate change, a mitigation and adaptation strategy, an action plan, a nature-based coastal protection pilot project, a communication and awareness-raising plan, and a participatory science education project. The entire process is being developed jointly through a series of consultation workshops with all coastal stakeholders in the archipelago.
